BUDAPEST ONE RECEIVES BREEAM EXCELLENT CERTIFICATION
Budapest ONE Offices has been awarded the BREEAM Excellent certifications for both phase II and III of the development
The 65,000 sqm office complex, developed by Futureal Group, is located in one of Hungary’s largest multimodal hubs, at the intersection of Kelenföld railway station, metro line 4 and the M1-M7 motorways. The second phase of the development covering almost 20,000 sqm, and the third phase of approximately 19,000 sqm, have both received BREEAM Excellent certifications, adding nearly 40,000 sqm of environmentally friendly office space to the domestic market. The BREEAM Certification consultancy was carried out by ABUD’s expert team.
Besides managing the BREEAM certification process, ABUD was responsible for delivering consultancy services and analysis within the conceptual design stage. Our professional team conducted research regarding climatic conditions, wind direction, traffic, transportation, building access and functional relations. The building shape was formed through parametric design process and the environmental effects of the decisions were analysed. Our team evaluated the building regarding natural ventilation, building shape, energy supply systems, energy source mix, green operation, environmentally-conscious materials, energy consumption, sustainable waste and water management, and other factors. In addition, solar potential, 88 daylight analysis, and CFD simulations were also carried out.
