CONTECH FOR GREEN CONSTRUCTION – NOT A DREAM, BUT A NECESSITY
On 18 October 2023, CEO Dr. András Reith PhD was invited as a panel member at another Portfolio Ingatlan organised event, GRAPHISOFT PORTFOLIO CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION 2023 conference.
The roundtable discussion, moderated by Tibor Massanyi, Managing Partner of DVM Group Ltd., focused on the topic of the green construction industry. Participating experts, including Gergely Ferenc, Senior Project Manager, CPI Property Group | Hungary, Gabor Kovacs, MBA, Head of Public Affairs, VELUX and Dr. András Reith PhD, were asked about sustainable solutions, implementing innovations, and why the construction industry is lagging in technology adoption.
“Systemic change is urgently required within the construction industry. Until the industry is solely profit-driven, with major developers and contractors unwilling to invest in innovation, such as education, collaboration, and funding for subcontractor chains, there will be no progress.”

In conclusion, panelists agreed that education plays a pivotal role in driving the construction industry’s adoption of innovation, its transition to greenpractices, sustainability, and the realization of a circular economy.
