STEPUP PROJECT: GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN BUDAPEST
ABUD had the chance to welcome members of the StepUP Consortium in Budapest, Hungary, on 21-22 March 2023
As StepUP Project progresses into the implementation phase, ABUD had the chance to host a General Assembly in Budapest for the Consortium on 21-22 March, 2023. Members of 8 institutions met to discuss the developments of the project, which included the progress made at the Hungarian and the Spanish demo sites. Participants were able to witness the application of a novel plug & play façade system at Zöld Liget Kindergarten in the 18th district of Budapest, one of the three demo sites. In case of the kindergarten, deep renovation includes the installation of the Plug & Play Envelope System, StepUP Heating Solution, roof insulation, the installation of PV panels and the change of the heat distribution system.
StepUP Project aims to develop innovative, market-transformative solutions for deep renovation, which requires a multi-disciplinary approach. Members of the consortium bring a range of skill sets and backgrounds to the project – the team is composed of technology manufacturers, owners, contractors, researchers, designers and consultants in a range fields including IEQ, M&V and energy, stakeholders engagement, innovation, business modelling, Energy Performance Contracting and technology standardisation. The meeting benefited from the wide range of expertise of the consortium members through workshops and the exchange of ideas. It was great to see everyone again and move forward with the project!
