How should we deal with the building of the Academy? Dr. András Reith held a presentation with two colleagues from MÉRTÉK Architectural Studio on Hidden recesses of the Academy Conference.
Past, present and future: 3 important aspects not to be missed in the evaluation of such a significant building. If you want to have the MTA Building serve Hungarian science for a long time, we already have to deal with its future. Not only by protecting its heritage, but by preparation for the challenges of the future as well. Regarding this aspect, the building was examined recently by the architects of MÉRTÉK Architect Studio, who have designed a number of major refurbishment of public buildings in Budapest.The study focused on a system-approached evaluation. Their attention was directed not only towards maintaining/increasing the value of sub-elements, but to analyze details in a context of their roles in the whole building.The most important conclusions and observations were presented.
