JUSTCLIMATE PROJECT WORKSHOP IN SZOMBATHELY

On June 13th, Szombathely hosted the second workshop of the JUSTClimate project with the Transition Arena. The primary goal was to map out the climate neutrality-related projects, strategies, and ambitions of various organizations of the Transition Arena. The workshop commenced with a general introduction outlining the project’s objectives and explaining how each workshop feeds into the Climate City Contract.

ABUD presented several best practices in achieving climate neutrality, highlighting innovations in buildings, transportation, and community mapping. This was followed by an interactive session where participants were divided into three working groups: energy, transportation, and circular economy. Each group received a list of questions in advance to guide discussions about their carbon neutrality initiatives.

The collaborative discussions provided valuable insights into the participants’ existing and planned efforts towards achieving climate neutrality. The workshop concluded with a roadmap for future actions, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The next workshop is scheduled for July, where participants will build on the outputs and insights gained from this session, further refining their strategies, plans and possible collaborations to achieve climate neutrality.
