LEGOFIT PROJECT’S KICK-OFF MEETING IN ISTAMBUL
On 12-13 September, the European consortium gathered in Istanbul to launch groundbreaking LEGOFIT Project for Energy Positive Homes (EPH)
A large consortium formed by 19 partners across Europe gathered in Istanbul, September 12-13 2023, to kick-start the LEGOFIT project, aimed to design, implement and validate an advanced and dynamic integrative approach to accomplish Energy Positive Homes (EPH) based on smart and innovative solutions with a high scalability and replicability for building construction and renovation.
The gathering in Istanbul, hosted by Demir Enerji Danismanlik at the Ghazane Museum, marked a significant milestone. The LEGOFIT consortium partners convened for two highly productive days of collaboration and progress. The conducted workshops were crucial for shaping our objectives and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for our project.
On the first day, we had the privilege of visiting Ozyegin University’s demo site and enjoyed a delightful dinner while cruising the Bosphorus on a boat. The second day began with a guided tour of the Ghazane Museum, led by an Istanbul municipality representative. This tour provided us with a unique opportunity to delve into the museum’s rich history while deepening our understanding of diverse energy sources.
The consortium comprising 19 partners from across Europe aims to craft, implement, and validate an advanced and dynamic integrative approach for achieving Energy Positive Homes (EPH) through smart and scalable solutions in building construction and renovation. The multidisciplinary team represents 10 countries, including academic partners, small, medium, and large enterprises from the energy and building sectors, as well as prominent European networks.
We are grateful to our partners for two incredibly productive days of collaboration and exploration, propelling our project closer to our goals: Demir Enerji Danismanlik, R2M Solution, Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), Bengt Dahlgren, CertiMaC | Materials.
