A special issue of Octogon Magazine offers a unique insight into the innovative technologies and architectural values of the recently opened Nordic Light Office building os Skanska.
The issue contains an interview with the leading designers of the project, Dr. Gergely Paulinyi, CEO of Mérték Group Ltd. and Dr. András Reith, CEO of ABUD. Dr. Reith let us see what is ‘behind the glass facade’ – the pioneer role of Skanska in developing a sustainability strategy that thinks ahead at least for the next 10 years. "New demands have appeared on the market and to meet them, a completely different mindset, working methods, additional services and quality levels are needed. […] The development works of NLO buildings, […] went far beyond obtaining an excellent rating in one of the most prestigious green building rating systems. The designs were backed by more than a year of research work, the results of which by now have been included in the curriculum of schools […] and have also impacted Hungarian legislation." The project’s eco-design and LEED consultants were Adrienn Gelesz and Melinda Orova.
