Sustainable Urban Concept
A new mixed-use urban development was being planned on the bank of the Danube in Budapest. The proposed functions, density and layout was carefully analysed and three sustainability concepts were elaborated: basic, moderate and deep green scenarios.
Calculations of overall renewable energy potential and energy efficiency limits for all scenarios, as well as an analysis of Green Rating possibilities, were carried out. Eventually, the moderate green concept was developed in a more detailed way, taking into account the business potential of the development.
