Climate-adaptive, reagent facade system research & development

In 2019 Rolla Art had begun the development of a smart façade system, as a part of which ABUD has been commissioned to perform climatic analysis, determine the possible engineering directions and to simulate different product variations. The glazing of this façade system incorporates a transparent solar foil (TPV) that converts solar energy to electricity. Furthermore, it collects environmental information about outdoor and indoor circumstances that are fed into the BMS system. Within the research, we are doing solar energy potential analysis, 2D heat bridge-, IPCC climate scenario-, parametric- and climate- microclimate investigations.
