Hungarian Museum of Architecture – Architectural Design Competition

The proposal was purchased by MMA

The Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) has launched a single-round architectural design tender for the Park of Architecture (Építészet Ligete), a building complex that would house the Hungarian Museum of Architecture and Monument Protection Documentation Center (MÉM MDK). The complex, located at Városligeti fasor 9-11 in Budapest, will serve as a vital institution for architecture and monument preservation. The main building, a key component of the complex, is expected to embody exceptional architectural design solutions addressing both local and global challenges. From a pool of 36 applicants, the jury recognized the work of 12 architects and architectural firms in the design competition.

Joining forces with Zaha Hadid Architects (EN), Finta és Társai Építész Stúdio (HU) and Garten Studio (HU), our joint submission was purchased by MMA. ABUD devised the sustainability strategy of the submission.
