Smart city concept
Győr hosted the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2017, which was a great opportunity for urban development. Together with PwC, ABUD elaborated an ecological model for the city, integrating the guidelines of sustainable and compact urban development bringing the circular economy in the picture.
The concept is seeking for the synergies between urban elements, connected through an efficient infrastructure network. It outlines a multipolar city, using its existing urban patterns becoming smart by being liveable, sustainable, and supported by state of the art technology. A sustainable and energy efficient design guideline for sports and recreational buildings was tailored for the EYOF2017 event in the paper.
