Sustainable Urban Concept
Sustainable urban concept was developed for a new city district in China, supporting the architectural concept of our partners. An energy demand map was developed based on the determination of on-site renewable energy potential, and the energy intensity based on the potential cost-effective energy efficiency measures incorporated in the design of the different building types.
The strategy was complemented with an off-site renewable energy network and thus 100% clean energy concept was introduced. Apart from providing an energy concept, a wide range of urban sustainability measures were introduced from waste management to enhancement of biodiversity, to provide a liveable, inviting and responsible new district in Dongying.
