ENSNARE – ENvelope meSh aNd digitAl framework for building REnovation

The aim of ENSNARE is to promote the application of renovation packages through digitalisation and the development of an industrial envelope mesh.

The international research consortium develops a process, where building envelope retrofitting is realized through digitalization, with lower cost- and time investments predicted. Throughout the four year research period, 6 demo sites will be used to model 3 different European climates. Out of these, 3 will be simulated through their digital twins, and 3 demo sites will be renovated to validate the results of the researchnot only according to performance, but also costs-wise.

Within ENSNARE ABUD is primarily focusing on the methodology and validation of the digitization processes and simulations for three different climatic environments.  In particular, the company’s main tasks include stakeholder mapping,  user behaviour analysis, modelling & simulation, analysis, supporting methodology development, KPI development and policy recommendations.
