LiveBetter Project

Accelerating deep renovation through high-quality data and AI-based data-driven services in a dynamic and adaptive digital environment

LiveBetter is an EU-funded initiative accelerating deep energy renovation to create healthier, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient buildings across Europe. Its core, the LiveBetter Hub, is a digital platform combining secure building data with 15 AI-driven services for certification, inspections, performance management, renovation planning, and flexible energy use.

Leveraging insights from 24 EU projects, the Hub supports all stakeholders in the renovation value chain, including building owners, construction companies, financiers, utilities, and municipalities. The project also promotes market uptake through innovative financing, policy guidance, and capacity-building initiatives, with special focus on non-technical actors via Communities of Practice and Building Clinics. By aligning with the Renovation Wave, the revised EPBD, and the New European Bauhaus, LiveBetter advances Europe’s digital and energy transition goals.

ABUD brings hands-on expertise across the full lifecycle of real estate development, ensuring that LiveBetter solutions are practical and effective in real-world conditions. During the project, ABUD will coordinate and support data collection and analysis to help verify the performance of LiveBetter tools with actual end-users. ABUD will also lead co-creation activities, gathering feedback from users through workshops and interviews to shape user-centered services. With its deep knowledge of sustainable building design and occupant behavior, ABUD will translate user insights into clear technical requirements, ensuring that the project’s solutions are both practical and widely adoptable, maximizing their real-world impact.

The LiveBetter project has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
