The ENSNARE promoted the application of renovation packages through digitalisation and the development of an industrial envelope mesh.
The international research consortium developed a process, where building envelope retrofitting is realized through digitalization, with lower cost- and time investments predicted. Throughout the four year research period, 6 demo sites were used to model 3 different European climates. Out of these, 3 were simulated through their digital twins, and 3 demo sites were renovated to validate the results of the research – not only according to performance, but also costs-wise.
