Facade Lamella Engineering
Lánchíd 19 Design Hotel is located on the bank of the River Danube, opposite Budapest’s Parliament, and was constructed in 2007. Due to ABUD’s assistance in the project, a high-quality design facade was created that is still a symbol of the building. A unique lamella system functions parallel to the facade, with the lamellas capable of rotating 360˚. Structural forces are transferred to the glass layers only by adhesives. The lamellas operate interactively by reacting to the external temperature, wind and lighting conditions. Lánchíd 19 Hotel has won many design awards in Hungary and internationally.
