The first RESTORE Training School took place in Lancaster, UK between 14th and 17th November 2017. 30+ trainees attended, representing a great spectrum of sustainability disciplines, experience and EU countries.

We had brilliant trainers and lectures, focusing on Restorative Sustainability, Biophilia, Living Building Challenge and Sustainability Education. In four days the Training School trainees gained a deep understanding of Restorative Sustainability and the key topics from RESTORE working groups, by participating in multiple introduction seminars, action learning, teamwork and study tours.

At the end of the Training School, the trainees visited two Regenerative Sustainability projects, one in Brockholes, which is certified as BREEAM Outstanding and one in Cuerdon Valley Park, which is aiming to be UK’s first Living Building Challenge project.
