GREENTALK: THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN AIR IN URBAN ENVIRONMENTS

On March 28, 2024, the “GreenTalk” session organized by Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC) focused on the significance of clean air in urban settings. The online event featured speakers Viktor Bukovszki, Senior Consultant at ABUD, György Engel-Ziegler, Commercial Manager of Aereco Ltd, and moderator Regina Kurucz, a renowned WELL AP in Hungary.

As we spend more than 90% of our time in the built environment, air quality is of utmost importance. György Engel-Ziegler addressed indoor air quality challenges and provided valuable insights into improving air quality within buildings for healthier indoor environments.

Jumping to urban scale, Viktor Bukovszki presented about the intricacies of implementing nature-based solutions for healthier urban ecosystems. Our mission at ABUD is to ensure that urban greenery is not an overlooked aspect of urban planning and policy making, but an integral part of the technical solutions for healthy, resource-efficient and climate-adaptive cities. To illustrate this, Viktor highlighted international and national case studies, including the Frischluftschneise project in Stuttgart and the JUSTNature Project in Szombathely.

The event concluded with a vivid Q&A session. Watch the recording in Hungarian below.
