Our urban research division seeks to scale up and refine a portfolio of modelling and simulation tools to uncover neighbourhood-to-city scale system dynamics of energy, microclimate, hydrology, material flows, social and ecological networks. At the same time, we develop innovative modes of co-governance, citizen empowerment, and capacity building that can effectively leverage these tools to co-create just, climate neutral, resource-efficient cities.
