ETELE PLAZA IS FIRST TO RECEIVE BREEAM VERY GOOD CERTIFICATION
The Etele Plaza has become the first facility to receive a BREEAM Very Good certification within the BREEAM International 2009 Europe Commercial Retail category.
The plaza boasts with 55,000 m² of leasable retail space. The project was developed to allow for the maximum safety and well-being of its visitors through state-of-the-art equipment, allowing for easy accessibility, minimizing light pollution and environmental impacts, using durable materials, and promoting waste recycling in line with BREEAM’s stringent requirements. The complex includes a green area spanning nearly 4000 m², featuring colorful plant coverings, decorative grasses, shrubs, and trees for the public to enjoy. It achieved exceptionally high scores within “Health and Wellbeing”, “Land Use and Ecology” and “Waste management” categories within certification criteria.
ABUD was responsible for BREEAM consultancy throughout the project, carrying out the assessment and certification process, as well as BREEAM design and construction support.
