ENSNARE PROJECT 3rd GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN BURGOS

ENSNARE Project’s 3rd General Assembly took place in Burgos, Spain between 31 May-1 June 2023

Consortium members of the Horizon 2020 project met in Burgos for the 3rd General Assembly of the project discussing the progress made so far as well as future challenges. The main goal of ENSNARE project is to boost the implementation of NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) renovation packages in Europe, with a focus on residential buildings. To accomplish this objective, the project develops two main technologies: Building components and digital solutions.

ABUD is in charge of WP7  – Pilot Buildings of the project. During the assembly, our Sustainability Consultant, Francisca Tapia presented about the demo buildings’ development during the renovation process’s technical phase.  There are three real demo cases in the project: Tartu in Estonia, Sofia in Bulgaria, Sassa Scalo in Italy. Besides this, the project is being developed across three virtual demos: Amsterdam, Glasgow and Milan.

At this stage, consortium partners including RIVENTI, ENAR, TECNALIA, ONYX, and KAMEL are working on finalizing the technical design. After this step is completed, the ENSNARE modules for all three demo cases will be manufactured. During one of the workshops, Francisca presented the outputs achieved so far in collaboration with the partners and the demo leaders.

Finally, what made this General Assembly special was that participants also had the opportunity to visit RIVENTI, the Spanish company manufacturing the modules. Seeing the first module for one of the pilots as big step for the project!
